MEET THE TEAM
Aeolus Racing is an F1 in Schools team from Newington College. We are a team of five year 9 students who want to gain experience and fine-tune our racing skills in the Formula 1 in Schools National competition. We achieved a spot on the NSW state final podium, coming 3rd place, and achieved the award for Best Engineered.
LUKAS YEE
Team Manager
The leader of the team, Lukas contributes and manages all aspects of the project. Whether it’s scheduling team meetings or creating project timelines, he's always on task, keeping everything organised. He keeps everything running smoothly and cooperatively, making sure everything is done to a high standard.
PRESTON ZHANG
Resource Manager
Preston plays a crucial role in managing the enterprise of Aeolus Racing. His job consists of creating all of the documentation, such as portfolios, sponsorship booklets etc, ensuring that we have a well-documented project timeline.
JULIAN BRAY
Graphics Designer
Julian is responsible for creating all of the team graphics. His work of creating the team's graphics is critical, embodying our unique team identity. Julian is able to use his creative skills to design our logo, media platforms, portfolio, and our booth design.
HARRY BOARD
Design Engineer
Harry is one of two of the team's engineering experts. He is our lead engineer, using his well-versed knowledge in CAD programs, he designs, test, and scrutineers the car, making sure that it is the fastest in the competition.
MAX AMOYAL
Manufacturing Engineer and Marketing Manager
As the manufacturing engineer, Max uses his engineering skills to finely craft the car and booth display. He is also our marketing manager, reaching out and collaborating with our sponsors, which are crucial in the competition.
